Blue Iris is an alternative cover and original rock band from central Illinois. Blue Iris features Jen Hargis on lead vocals/lead guitar, Bre Schaut on violin/guitar, Rob Hargis on percussion/backing vocals and Jason Schaut on bass guitar/backing vocals.

Many of their original songs have been nominated (achieving finalist status in 2021, Is There a Road) in multiple categories five years in a row for the world's largest independent music awards, The Josie Music Awards based out of Nashville Tennessee.  Their single, The Others, has been nominated and/or achieved finalist status for three separate music awards programs.

Blue Iris began as a duo in 2019 with married couple Jen and Rob, picking up music once again after decades of raising their kids. Then married couple Bre and Jason joined them in late 2021. These two married couples bring passion, emotion, and depth to their performances in the central Illinois area and beyond.
